Obama - The Peace Fighter
Obama wants 33 billion more for Afghanistan and Iraq wars on top of a record 708 billion for 2011. Why does not he fucking spend his Nobel Peace Prize to finance it?

Hillary's Clitoris
Russia's Foreign Minster Lavrov was presented Hillary's Clitoris button by its proud owner. The Russian text instead of "reset" (perezagruzka) said"overload" (peregruzka). That did not stop both from laughing. After all, touching the clitoris is an enjoyable pastime for everyone! For Russia, rubbing the button may mean the long expected cancellation of the plans to put American rocket control facilities in Eastern Europe. America in its turn hopes to defuse Iran's nuclear programmes.

Hot Air Fails To Lift US Economy
Surprise, surprise: perfectly crafted and inspiringly delivered appeals to "revitalise the economy" and make "America lead the world again" failed to accomplish both. Even worse, the stocks have actually fallen after President Obama's as usual toe-twirlingly amazing speech.
Perhaps, it is time Barack realised that it takes more than Magic Negro chanting to do his job.

The Consequences Of Joining The Seemingly Unbeatable
Britain's dogged attempts to imitate its overgrown colonial cousin are fun to watch. Following every trend and fad on the other side of the Atlantic must be giving Britain a cause to feel superior to its more desate neighbours over the Channel. In London you hear police car sirens so many times, you'd think you're on a set of a Hollywood movie. CCTV cameras watching every nook and corner, credit card history, abandoning railway system in favour of private car ownership: Britain went to great lengths not to be like its European neighbours. Most of the copycat routine is quite harmless and even, to a degree, natural: after all, UK does share a lot of cultural heritage with the USA.
However, adopting America's major prosperity-generating mechanism has turned out disastrous. I am talking about the vicious system of living from borrowed money with no plans to ever repay the debt. In fact, it is a British invention: Americans just perfected it and took it to an extreme, pushing the national debt over 11,300,000,000,000 (11.3 trillion) dollars. In the heyday of Tony Blair's Cool Britannia it seemed like it would go one forever. The economy was booming for over a decade fuelled by crazy borrowing and overbloated housing prices, creating the false sense of well managed prosperity growth.
However, the jig is finally up. Big boys of the City and Westminster who were so good at the cheek-puffing game of appearing important and with-it turned out just a bunch of shockingly incompetent liars. The irony of it is that the very people, bankers and poiticians who cocked up world's fourth largest economy will be, at utmost, be given severance packages and shuffled around while the rest of the population will be stuck with the bill.
By the way, that bill has just been hiked up to a trillion pounds by those shit-for-brains good-for-nothings. It's like borrowing a grand to pay the hundred you owe. Smart move, Eyebrows.

JFK and Iraq
Being cute, popular and dating Marylin Monroe while married to Jackie is but a sexy media image. Action speaks louder than any PR strategy.
In 1963, the Kennedy administration backed a coup against the government of Iraq headed by General Abdel Karim Kassem, who five years earlier had deposed the Western-allied Iraqi monarchy. The CIA helped the new Baath Party government led by Abdul Salam Arif in ridding the country of suspected leftists and Communists. In a Baathist bloodbath, the government used lists of suspected Communists and other leftists provided by the CIA, to systematically murder untold numbers of Iraq's educated elite — killings in which Saddam Hussein himself is said to have participated. The victims included hundreds of doctors, teachers, technicians, lawyers and other professionals as well as military and political figures.
Saddam's party was installed but no one else but adorable JFK, it turns out.

Is Our Lovely Barack Really Up To The Job He Applied For?
So, the cute skinny mixed (he's not Black, idiots, he's half-Black, half-White!) dude has become the US President. Like millions of others I am totally smitten with his gift of glib, charisma and perfectly tailored suits. Hip-hip-hooray!
However, there is a gnawing suspicion in the back of my mind. I have seen this so many times before: Yeltsin and Yushchenko, Taksin and Blair. Eloquent and sexily presented youngish hopefuls swept their nations off the feet with a promise of change only to show that there is little substance or integrity inside the shiny package. They all started on the shoulders of cheering crowds but ended up despicable displays of the ugliest traits of human nature, utter political failures that ruined the lives of millions.
Barack is taking over a shattered country: loathed in the world, on the verge of bankruptcy and split along so many fault lines. The 10-trillion-dollar officially recognised federal debt is, no doubt, just the tip of the iceberg. Is he up to the tough job ahead of him. We shall see.

Lame Duck, Lame Lines
Oh, the sheer irony of it: the man who almost single-handedly turned the USA from the darlings and role model of the world into its most hated bully and the new Empire of Evil, denounced "misinformation and propaganda" that sully the country's image abroad.
Probably to protect world's most famous dimwit from the adoration of Italian public 10,000 policemen were mobilised in Rome, there were frogmen under bridges and snipers on roofs, and mobile phone signals were being disrupted whenever his motorcade moves. Bush made his European exit with a bang, spreading the Culture of Fear only Americans know how - and that is in the country that sided with the US in Afghanistan and Iraq, a close ally in other words.
To the chants "Bush, go home!' outside, the lame duck president knew no better than to ask Italians to ignore the "misinformation and propaganda" spread about his country and to learn the "first-hand truth about America" by visiting. Translation from Bush-speak: "don't pay attention to the irreparable damage, suffering and destruction that I and my cronies have caused to the world in the last 8 years in pursuit of personal enrichment, just come and see our friendly and hard-working folks - their smiles are simply irresistible".
It is impossible to start an argument with a dimwit without looking like one but it is pointless to argue with a dimwit who is fed lines through a wireless earphone by his speech-writers, and dumb lines at that. So, let's leave him to that, hoping he will cause little more harm before he sinks into the annals of history. There is a special place in hell for people like him.

1984, 20 Years After - Mind Conrol In The US
The KGB with their magnetic tape reel based telephone eavesdropping system and a creaking network of volunteer informers could never even start dreaming of this extent of mind and soul penetration. These paragraphs read like a cyber-punk sequel of Orwell's 1984:
"As Michael Turk, the Bush-Cheney e-campaign director in 2004 explained, the Republicans were able to mobilise their supporters through a combination of email lists and internet 'data mining'.
They identified potential Republican supporters in every precinct around the country, using technology which predicts voter preferences on the basis of commercial data on car ownership, magazine subscriptions, and the like.
And then they sent their campaign volunteers detailed instructions on who to visit, including local maps of the area and walking routes, and issues that each potential voter was likely to be most concerned about."
Truly, the winner takes on the worst qualities from the defeated.Friday, 18 April 2008
The New Opium des Volkes
Barack Obama was right when he said that working class Americans turn to guns and religion for solace from economic hopelessness. But he underestimated just how hi-tech the modern-time US are, for they turn to the make-belief world of video games for escape from the grim reality.
US sales of video game consoles and software have grown 57% over the past year, defying the economic downturn. The three grands - Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft - can barely cope with the demand, and well, that does keep jobs for quite a few people so it's not entirely sad news after all.

9/11 - Yet Another False Flag Operation
It is beyond any reasonable doubt that the 9/11 downing of the World Trade Center towers was the result of a controlled demolition. One argument that I have heard from a very intelligent and enlightened American friend of mine, upon hearing out all the mounting evidence, was that "the US Government just couldn't have been possibly up to such an immoral act, they are above that". Now this is just shows how little we learn from history.
False flag terrorism is nothing new - it has been used to create causae belli by the powers that be since time immemorial. In America's own history there has been a long string of such incidents starting from the mysterious sinking of the USS Maine in 1898 - of the Remember the Maine and to Hell with Spain! fame - that precipitated the Spanish-American War to the Operation Northwoods when terrorist acts against civil targets in the US were planned by the CIA to spark anti-Cuban sentiment in the public. In 1939, WWII, world's deadliest conflict ever, was started on pretext of the German-staged "Polish attack".
Now you can watch the well researched documentary Loose Change Final Cut about the 9/11 yourself and form your own informed opinion, whether pro or con:

Bush Backs Ukraine & Georgia On Nato Bid
It is bizarre that no major news service offered any analysis of why would US want NATO's eastward expansion so badly. The very learnt ladies and gentlemen would not have to go to great lengths to find out that since the times of Zbigniew Brezinsky's The Grand Chessboard became the handbook of American foreign policy it is a cornerstone of the US geopolitical strategy to see to it that "no Eurasian challenger emerges, capable of dominating Eurasia and thus of also challenging America."
After the Soviet collapse the EU had become a major threat to this, so at least last 15 years everything has been done to sow dissent within Europe and create or sustain hot spots of conflict on the continent. Almost every part of US involvement in Europe pursues the goal of undermining any possible increase of the EU's political influence in its own backyard. Cleverly exploiting historical divisions and nationalist sentiments, American strategists manage to divide and rule the affairs across the ocean. What amazes me that Europeans (appear to) to stand powerless in face of such a blatant manipulation and basically swallow whatever the US feeds them.
Just a few examples: the manhandling of the Yugoslavian conflict and leaving so many festering conflict spots in its wake, the ongoing waging of anti-European influence via the "special relationship" with UK, creating a chasm within the Euro ranks by making pledge allegiance to the Iraq war, alienating Russia from the mainstream European politics in every possible way - and now backing the NATO's eastward expansion. I see how that last one serves American interests so well, but I am really in awe with the European leaders' stupidity (or the unwillingness to react in any meaningful way). Can it be that all capable strategists have left Europe for fatter American paychecks and there is no one to advise Euro bosses on their own best interests? Or does the Franko-German axis hope for the spoils from it all?

Same Old Friends Forever?
This was my favourite show and I think it was brilliant. Each and every one of the Friends cast has starred in feature films since the show ended and it couldn't be more disappointing for a former fan: it turned out they can only play themselves.
Same mannerisms, same facial expressions, same ways of delivering gags, same everything as in the good ole days minus Phoebe's songs (which she didn't write herself anyway). It is as if they are afraid to scare away their luck by trying something beyond their Friends characters. What a dud, they really should have retired with the millions they earned when on Friends and stop disappointing their fan base time and time again! Yawnorama.
Spreading Globally The Message Of Patriotism
"A US container ship approaching the Suez Canal has opened fire on a small Egyptian motorboat selling local merchandise. One man was killed and two others wounded, reports say."
It would be just yet another episode of the big guy's high-handed approach - what else is new? - but for the ship's name, the Global Patriot. Now, Alanis, this is what you can call "ironic".
